16th Annual "Big East" Powersports Show in Syracuse:
Normally the first full weekend in October.This year it is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2009 through Sunday, October 5, 2009:
We will have a booth there representing all five snowmobile clubs based in Chautauqua County, stop by and talk with us.
We are looking for a couple more people to volunteer a day or two to promote Snowmobiling in Chautauqua County.
To many, this is the starting event of the snowmobiling season.

18th Annual Auction & Raffle, October, 25, 2009 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Consignment Auction for used sleds, trailers, even boats.

Youth & Adult Snowmobile Safety Courses:(scheduled so far)
Check the individual club websites for further details.Must be at least 10 years of age on or before the class in order to attend.
This is an official, approved New York State Safety Course and those students who pass the written test will receive their Snowmobile Safety Card from New York State.

All Trails Open
Weather permitting, we open all trails after Dear Hunting Season ends (usually at Dusk on a Tuesday).This year open date is Wednesday 23, 2009. All trails open at 6:00 pm (conditions permitting)
Need a minimum of three inches of base. It takes about twelve (12) inches of snow packed down to provide the three inch base.

Annual Memorial Ride & Bonfire
Normally the third Saturday in January.Sponsored by the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club

For all those who are no longer here with us to ride the trails.
Hot dogs, pop, and coffee. Open to all snowmobilers.

Annual Dice Run & Snowmobile Raffle
Normally the last Saturday in January.Sponsored by the Cherry Creek Sno-Goers
Saturday, January 30, 2010 starting at the Cherry Creek VFW.
For fun Dice Run and a chance at that raffle ticket for that brand new Ski-Doo.
Open to all snowmobilers.

All-Club Ride-In
Normally the second Sunday in February and the weekend before the ICE Castle Weekend in Mayville.Ogininally the 7th, but rescheduled for Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (or later) at the Chautauqua County Fireman’s Grounds in Stockton.
The event will be held if trails are open.
The Town of Stockton will plow out the parking lot and around the building for us.
“The Taste of Chautauqua”: Specialties from Chautauqua County businesses.
Hot dogs, Hamburgers, Pop, Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Chicken-Wing Soup, Lobster Bisque, Chili, Pastries, etc.
Groomer rides and snowmobile rides for our “Special Guests”.
We would like to line-up at least a dozen large groomers and at least 700 snowmobiles on the grounds.
There is no cost to snowmobilers and “Special Guests”.
We will have NYSSA Super Raffle tickets available.
The annual All-Club Ride-In sponsored by the Snowmobile Clubs of Chautauqua County.

Ice Castle Weekend
February 12-14, 2010 at the Lakeside Park in Mayville.Ice Castle, snowmobile rides on Saturday and Sunday (12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm), flare ride Saturday evening, fireworks Saturday evening at 8:00 pm.

Rock Maple Racing (RMR) Snowcross at the Peek'n Peak Ski Resort
Normally the last weekend in March.Saturday, March 27, 2010 through Sunday, March 28, 2010:
Peek'n Peak is a ski resort that makes snow all Winter long.
There will be 12 to 15 feet of snow on the slope to build the track.
Peek'N Peak will be closing down a ski slope and the half-pipe to build the track.
Ever been to a snowcross in person before?
This is your chance to see one in person. Lots more exciting in person.
Lots to action to see, high performance snowmobiles to hear, specialty two-cycle oil smells, and lots of food to eat.
Somewhere between 120 and 150 of the best snowcross racers in the country to watch.
The snowmobile factories are expected to be bringing their new 2011 model sleds for show and tell.
Demo rides will be offered.
Twelve bucks a day gets you into the event each day. And no, you do not have to purchase a lift pass too.

Annual NYSSA Forum:
Normally the second weekend in April.
(The annual NYSSA Forum moves around in the state: Auburn, Liverpool, Niagara Falls, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, Syracuse)
Mostly the business-side of things for the season that has just ended and planning for the next season which is only eight more months away.
